Felix Muchnik, CEO at Softkey (Russia)
Felix Muchnik was born in 1961 in Inta (the Komi Republic). At thirteen Felix gained university entrance to the faculty of mathematics at Voronezh State University. He graduated at the age of eighteen. In 2001 he set up Softkey - a software Internet-supermarket. Today it is the leading online distributor of software in Russia. Softkey’s catalogue contains about 13 thousand of products, and the database of customers makes up over 400 thousand of users. In December 2006 the company joined the well-known IT-holding IBS.
Marcin Pery, Vice-President Gemius SA (Poland)
He graduated from the Cybernetics Department at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw. In the years 1999 - 2002 he worked as an executive manager at various companies affiliated with telecommunications and information technology. Since 2002 he has been the Vice-President and Director of Strategy and Development at Gemius. Marcin is also an active academic – he teaches information technology at the Military University and is preparing his doctoral dissertation.
Clara Llamas, Business Planner at Trader Media East (Turkey)
Clara Llamas holds a BSc. degree in Cultural Anthropology, which she obtained from New York Universitym, and in Project Management & Business Administration. In 1997 she joined Trader Classified Media working as a Research Analyst, Editorial Director of Mercado de Trabajo, Business Development Manager, Online Business Planning Manager at Trader Classified Media's head office. Since February 2006 Clara has been doing Online Business Planning for Trader Media East, operating in Russia & CIS, Hungary, Poland, Croatia and Slovenia. She has been very active in the product development centralization process and online business development guidance for the group company wide.
Juris Mendzins, Head of DELFI (Latvia)
Juris Mendzins is the head of the DELFI Latvian company and also a member of the board of the pan-Baltic DELFI management structure. DELFI is the largest internet media company in the Baltics, whose turnover of around 6 million Euros (2006) constitutes half of the Baltic Internet advertising market. Juris Mendzins has been working at DELFI from 2000. Previously he worked for a news agency – BALTIC NEWS SERVICE.
Alexey Chuksin, Marketing Director at META Inc. (Ukraine)
Alexey Chuksin - one of the founders of the largest Ukrainian portal meta.ua. Since 2000 he has been the Marketing Director at META Inc. He is an author of a number of publications on Internet advertising and e-marketing.
Girts Slavins, Managing Director at Draugiem (Latvia)
He is the Managing Director at draugiem.lv – which is one of the most important social networks in Latvia. Before he joined Draugiem.lv in 2005, he worked for ADM Interactive, BatesADM, RixTechnoogies, for clients such as Microsoft, Lattelecom, Apollo, Sampo, Klarins&Slaidins lawyers offices, and others. He completed Communication Studies at Riga Stradins University.
Timotej Gala, Chief Executive at Httpool Internet Marketing Central and Eastern Europe (Balkan).
Timotej Gala is responsible for media-buying and Internet advertising operations in five CEE markets. Since 2003, when he joined the company, he has successfully positioned Httpool as the market leader in online marketing in South-East Europe. Furthermore, he actively promotes Internet marketing in the region presenting the latest trends and opportunities of online marketing through media and marketing events.
Artur Banach – President of the Board of NetSprint (Poland)
Artur Banach has been working at NetSprint since 2001. In 2003 he has become the company’s president. In the years 2000–2001 he cooperated with the Internet incubator e-Katalyst. Earlier he worked in the Tax and Legal Services Department at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles and took part in a project organized by the consulting company Central Europe Trust in Warsaw. He graduated from Warsaw School of Economics.
Tomasz Cisek, Member of the Board at Empik (Poland)
Tomasz Cisek is responsible for managing the online store EMPiK.com, its marketing and sales. He graduated from the University of Lodz. He occupied leading posts in such companies as Ad.net, Sabela Media Polska, IMPartner. He has built the biggest Internet advertising network in Poland and initiated such projects as the IAB forum and research into Internet users' profile (ESOMAR conference, Los Angeles, 2003).
Claudiu Gamulescu, Online Business Developer Netbridge Investment (Romania)
Claudiu Gamelescu, Online Business Developer at Netbridge, one of the oldest and at the same time the biggest web companies in Romania. He works as a lecturer at the Academy of Economics in Bucharest. He has been into e-marketing and e-commerce in Romania for 8 years. He is the President of the SGGC Businessman Association, Netbridge Investments. He worked also in ARBO media, Group Management SA, Netpoint, and others.
Artur Zawadzki, Vice-President Gemius SA (Poland)
A graduate from the Private Higher School of Business and Administration in Warsaw majoring in financial engineering. Since 2001 he has been working in Gemius SA, and since 2003 he has been the company’s Vice-President. At Gemius, he is responsible for sales and marketing. In the years 2003-2005 he was the Vice-President and Research Director at the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Poland.
Michal Klar, Director, International Operations, the Allegro Group (Poland)
He represents the Allegro Group (QXL Poland) The company provides e-commerce solutions to communities in Poland and the CEE region. Acting as International Operations Director, he is responsible for the company's activity in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria and Romania. He is also responsible for further expansion into the CEE region. He started to work for Allegro in 2000, previously occupied the post of Community & Customer Service Director.
Peter Perger, CEO and founder of NetWaiter (Hungary)
Mr Perger had started his career as a programmer, then he had been graduated in 1999 at Budapest University of Economics in Hungary as a financial manager. From the late 1990 he was interested in the new economy, especially in e-commerce. In 1999 he had launched his own enterprise – the NetWaiter, which was an intermediator between the home-delivery restaurants and the Internet user. Next to NetWaiter Mr Perger had been working as an e-business consultant for 2 years at Ernst&Young Hungary. In these days Mr Perger is responsible for the IT development and the business development of his company.
Andrei Korobeinik, CEO Rate Solutions (Estonia)
Andrei Korobeinik is the CEO of Rate Solutions, an Estonian company launching social networking sites in about 15 European countries. He has been 9 years in the Internet business, 5 of which were devoted to SN sites. Before the social networking he worked for an Internet gambling company.
Adnet is the first Internet advertising network in the Baltic states. In Adnet Lithuania Egidijus Sirvydis have started work from the first days of the company in the year 2001. Previously he worked for the media agency Carat as an account executive.
Peter Darvas, Research Manager Ipsos - Szonda (Hungary)
Graduated as a sociologist from Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, with a thesis about online data collecting methods, he is a research manager at Ipsos Szonda Hungary. Peter Darvas joined Ipsos in 2004, after 2 years of working for NRC, an online market research company. Now he is managing the implementation of online audience measurement service gemius/Ipsos Audience.
Péter Novák, Chief Operating Officer at Kirowski (Hungary)
Péter Novák is the Chief Operating Officer at Kirowski, the leading Hungarian digital marketing agency, being a part of Isobar. Before joining Kirowski in 2000, Peter worked at MatavNet (Hungarian Telekom) as the head of media sales. He has been a member of the Executive Board at the Hungarian Advertising Association (HAA) since 2000 and the Vice-President of HAA since 2006.
Zoran Savin, IAB Europe vicepresident (Slovenia)
Zoran Savin has been managing the AdSpend project within the IAB Europe for several years and has lately become one of the IAB Europe's Vice-Presidents. He is the CEO of Senca.net, the leading online media buying agency in Slovenia. Zoran is also the President of the MOSS Executive Board (an audience measurement project in Slovenia) and is a frequent speaker at many online marketing conferences and events.
Tristan Nitot, President Mozilla Europe
Tristan Nitot is the founder and current president of Mozilla Europe, the international affiliate of the Mozilla Foundation, home of the Firefox Web browser. He has been contributing to this project since 2001. Tristan Nitot was with Netscape from 1997 to 2003, first in charge of Product Marketing in Southern Europe and then Technology Evangelist, managing developer relations in Europe. Tristan publishes on the Web since 1996 and started blogging in 2002 on Standblog.org. His blog reaches 12,000 readers daily on average.
Maciej Wicha - Director of News and Community Portals Agora (Poland)
Maciej Wicha joined Agora in September of 2001, initially as the Head of Business Development, later as the Head of Internet Publishing. From July 2006 he us the Director of News and Community Portals. From 1993 to 1999 he worked for Nicom Consulting Ltd. While there he coordinated many projects involving of restructuring and privatization of enterprises and financial institutions. In the spring of 2000 he joined the Euromoney Polska S.A. management board. As General Director of euromoney.pl he was responsible for the new ventures including the euromoney.pl financial portal. He was born in 1969. He studied at the Warsaw University's Management Department.
Artur Waliszewski, Country Business Manager, (Poland)
Artur Waliszewski is Country Business Manager, Poland who joined Google in January 2006. Artur is responsible for strategic development and management of the Polish Google office. Artur leads a dedicated Polish team, supported by regionally based staff in London, charged with evolving Google brand on the local market. Artur’s work for Google includes a close partnership with advertisers and partners in order to help realize the economic potential of online advertising. He will also be leading the works on localization of Google products to make them fully adapted to the needs of Polish Internet users. Artur has extensive work experience in the area of on-line business development, products and marketing from the largest Polish internet company – Onet.pl. He began his career as one of the first employees at Onet.pl in 1996. Working on several positions from marketing, sales to business development finally in the last 4 years he was a Member of Board and Head of portal services. Artur holds a degree in Management & Marketing from Cracow University of Economics.
Piotr Ejdys, President Gemius SA (Poland)
A graduate from the Information Technology Department at Warsaw University with a major in artificial intelligence, Piotr Ejdys has been recognized as the author and co-author of numerous publications on information technology and market research theory. In the past, he has been an academic teacher. He is a member of the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR). He has been President of Gemius since February 2001.
Felix Bodmann, Director of Advertising - New Markets, AOL Europe (United Kingdom)
Felix joined AOL in 2000 and since then he had been heading the company's advertising operations in Germany. Later he took on the responsibility for the ad infrastructure in whole Europe. After AOL's successful acquisition of ADTECH AG he joined AOL Europe's business expansion group. At present Felix is responsible for ad sales in Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Poland.
Aleksandra Telyatnikova, Head of the Internet Marketing Department, META
Aleksandra Telyatnikova started to work within the field of the Internet in 1998. Since then she has been fully devoted to the Web. She was involved in a project aiming at electronic exchange of subjects to intellectual property rights at the Ukrainian Ministry of Science. She also supervised a few commercial Internet projects and participated in the development of a popular news searching system. Since 2006 Aleksandra has been employed as the Head of the Internet Marketing Department of the Ukrainian search engine META.
Chris Modzelewski, CEO and Founder of ChartSearch Inc. (USA)
Chris is the founder of Gemius SA, Central and Eastern Europe’s largest interactive media research agency. As the company's majority shareholder, Chris oversaw the business’s growth from a bootstrapping startup to being a multinational pan-European leader, with leading market share across 15 countries throughout Central and Eastern Europe. At present he is the CEO of ChartSearch Inc.
